Last week, our class have some small activities that challenge our way that we think. The first activity we have is alternative uses which is not looking an object according to its name, but through it's appearance and think about what we can do with it. For instance, we have given with a paper clip picture, so we need to think what it can be used for only by looking at it. Then, my brain stuck and cannot think much about the uses, I'm only think about the common one. However, after 2-3 pictures given, I start to think more about it but still less.

The second activity got 2 different parts. Part 1 is we have given 5 minutes limit to complete the incomplete figures. So, below is my sketches:

At first, we were given with different types of incomplete lines. So, I draw the up right first then down and up again to another column. I manage to draw 16/18 figures within the limited time. I draw different kinds of figures randomly, which is some are simple shape or common things and some are more abstract like the caterpillar body (third column from the left, first row) and the guitar strings (second column from the right, third row) and some are cute faces like ghost and monster. After draw them, we compare to each others drawings and I managed to find my caterpillar head from other classmate's drawing and we also find some similar figures.

After that, we were given second paper which only have straight lines. Below is my drawing:

This is more difficult than the first one I think because its only concentrate on straight lines and its limit my thinking. So I had stuck a bit but still I managed to draw 13 figures. While, in my drawing, some are a bit similar such as no.10 and 11, I draw the straight lines and then later I though out the Malaysia's flag and also the no.4 and 5, I draw tree then later I think about a road with some trees.

Later, the paper given is more harder. We need to create one figures by combining all the lines given.

I think its the most difficult one because as you can see in my drawing, I was only simply combine them because I though maybe it can combine to something but no. So, at this part I was fail to create the figures. But I try to save it back by adding some car so it looks like racing car competition is going on but I know its still fail.

The part 2 one is about the candle problem which created by Karl Duncker in 1945.

So, we need to find a solution that how can the lighten up candle be fix to the wall without licking wax to the table. In class, we find many different kinds of solutions so I think that our lecturer wanted to tell us about creativity is unlimited. It is normal to think differently than others. We need to have confident and brave to explain out our creativeness.

All in all, these two activities tells us we actually can look back our earlier ideas and develop more to the further ideas. It also tell us that its not an end of goal for thinking more in mind. We can exploit more creativity ideas in our brains.
